A Few Ways To Invest Your Money
Investing is one of the keys of being rich.It is a pretty well known fact that those people who have accumulated great wealth throughout their lifes and become self made millionaires invest their money to benefit from the long term growth that investing can lead to. Many investors have even gotten rich simply through their investments. So, in what ways can you invest your money? Here are 4 things you can invest into.
1. Stocks
Stocks are shares of a company.Whenever you buy a stock you are actually buying a small portion of a company, because of this your stock should appreciate as the share of the stock goes up.This way people can make money by picking stocks in companies that are actually pretty strong.
Some companies will even offer dividend paying stocks or stocks that pay their investors a portion of the company’s profits. If you are able to accumulate enough shares of stock in a company you might even be able to live off of your share of the companies earnings that are given to you by the dividend payments.
2. Bonds
Bonds are similar to stocks only with one exception. Instead of owning a piece of the company you control some of their debt. For example when you buy a bond then you loan a company money, you collect interest payments on that loan and when the maturity date comes around you get paid the value of that bond.
3. Commodities
So, what is commodity trading? When an investor invest into a commodity future they are actually buying that commodity to be delievered in the future. If they do not wish to actually own the commodity they can sell it before expiration and make or lose money based on how the value of that commodity and the futures contract where changed.
4. ETFs
So, what are ETFs?They are basically just a combination of different investments. An ETF tracks a variety of different investments depending on the ETF.For instance you might invest into an airline ETF that consist of the top 5 airline companies in the US. And so investing into this ETF would be a way of getting exposure to the airline industry without having to actually go through the stocks and attempt to figure out which ones offer the best investment opportunities.
